About UsWe have been working together for 20 years from our main studio in Essex and satellite studio in London. Annabel Wylie previously worked for the National Trust running the Textile Conservation Workroom at Knole, overseeing the conservation of the King's Bed among other projects. Poppy Singer was formerly Textile Conservation Officer at the Museum of London working on the extensive costume and textile collection. Subsequently, she went to The Textile Conservation Centre, to teach the 2nd year of the postgraduate diploma in Textile Conservation. Annabel maintains a keen interest in the conservation of furnishing textiles, whilst Poppy, particularly enjoys working on costume, accessories and mounting for display. The Essex workroom is fully equipped to undertake conservation on a wide range of textiles. We have installed a wet-cleaning floor and have a washing table, full dyeing facilities and a flexible space, to accommodate textiles varying in size from samplers to tapestries. The workroom is secure and meets government indemnity standards as set by The MLA. We have recently up-graded our photograpic equipment to include the use of a digital SLR camera. |
